Hanover Schools to open kindergarten enrollment next week

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County Public Schools will officially open kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-26 school year next Tuesday.

Children must be at least 5 years old on or before Tuesday, Sept. 30 to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment, which will open on Tuesday, April 8.

According to a social post from the school division, enrolling children for the upcoming school year will include three steps: the online enrollment gorm, an enrollment appointment and a kindergarten screening and welcome event at the school.

After completing the online enrollment form, parents will receive an email advising their children's zoned school to schedule an enrollment appointment, according to the school division's website.

Parents are encouraged to schedule their enrollment appointment between Monday, April 14, and Friday, April 25.
