Henrico County to host Victim’s Rights Week walk next Wednesday

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Victim Witness Assistance Program will be hosting a walk and resource fair on Wednedsay April. 9 at the Henrico County Complex.

The walk, which will start at 6 p.m. at the Henrico Police Memorial Plaza, is a part of their effort to commemorate National Crimes Victim's rights week (NCVRW) happening from April 6 to 12.

According to a press release by NCVRW, "this year’s theme of KINSHIP is a call to action to recognize that shared humanity should be at the center of supporting all survivors and victims of crime."

According to the release, KINSHIP is a state of survival for survivors which drives vital connections and increases access to services rights and healing.

The walk will end in the courtyard of the administration building of the complex where community members from the RVA area will share information about the services they provide to support victims and survivors.
