Henrico man arrested after Goochland break-in

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Henrico County man is facing several charges after a break-in in Goochland County on Thursday.

On Thursday, Aug. 14, deputies with the Goochland County Sheriff's Office were called to Gammons Creek Road for report of a breaking and entering.

When deputies arrived, they found and arrested a Henrico County man in connection with the break-in. He hit with four charges: breaking and entering, obstruction of justice, possession of burglarious tools and possession of a Schedule I/II drug.

According to the sheriff's office, this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.

"The Goochland County Sheriff's Office reminds residents to remain vigilant and take basic safety precautions, such as locking doors and windows when leaving their homes and reporting any suspicious activity," authorities said.

No further details about the nature of the break-in were provided.
