Henrico Master Gardeners to celebrate flowering plants in the garden

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County Master Gardeners are celebrating flowering plants at the "Saturday in the Garden" event on June 28.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 28 at Short Pump Park, located at 3329 Pump Road, showcasing the "vital role they play in providing food for honeybees, butterflies and other pollinators," according to a release from the county.

Master Gardeners are expected to share information about pollinators. Children will be able to learn how to make fruit shish kebabs, with games and crafts available.
The Pollinator Garden is located near the dog park and behind the pump house for the spray park.
