Juvenile injured after shooting in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A juvenile was injured after being shot in Chesterfield on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday, March 15 at 3:16 p.m., Chesterfield County Police responded to the 6400 block of Cosmic Road for the report of a juvenile who was shot.
Once on the scene, officers found a victim in the parking lot who was suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials stated that the suspect is described as a male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt who fled the scene on foot. The incident seems to be isolated and there is no threat to the community.
