Juvenile injured after shooting in Richmond’s Fan District

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A juvenile victim is injured after police said they were shot in Richmond's Fan District Tuesday evening.

At around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, officers with the Richmond Police Department received the report of a person shot at the 1900 block of West Main Street.

According to police, a juvenile victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital.

8News has reached out to officials to learn if the juvenile was a teen or child.
