Juvenile injured after shooting in Richmond’s Southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A juvenile is injured after police said they were shot in Richmond's Southside Monday evening.

At 4:36 p.m. on Monday, June 30, officers with the Richmond Police Department were dispatched to a local hospital for a gunshot victim who had arrived.

Police said the victim is a juvenile, and their injury is non-life-threatening.

Officials were reportedly able to find a crime scene along the 1700 block of Southlawn Avenue in Richmond's Southside.

Police have not released additional identifying information regarding the juvenile.
