Kitten stuck in Prince George storm drain rescued
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Another kitten stuck in a storm drain was rescued by Prince George firefighters on Saturday.
Crews with Prince George County Fire and EMS responded to a public service call involving a trapped kitten received a call for a kitten stuck in a storm drain on River Tree Drive in Enon on Saturday, June 14.
According to officials, residents heard the kitten crying from a storm drain and called for help. Engine 5 from the Jefferson Park Fire Station 5 arrived on scene and found the kitten.
Crews said the animal had become stuck and "couldn’t get out on its own."

"Thanks to the teamwork of our career and volunteer firefighters, crews were able to safely access the storm drain and remove the kitten without injury," officials said.
This marks the second kitten rescue in the last couple of days, as crews with Chesterfield Fire and EMS similarly rescued a kitten from a storm drain on the evening of Friday, June 13.
