Learn about medicinal plants of spring at Powhatan State Park
POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- In celebration of Earth Day, Powhatan State Park rangers will host a guided hike on Friday, where attendees will learn about the medicinal plants of Central Virginia.
The hike will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 25 at the park, located at 4616 Powhatan State Park Road, with the group meeting at the playground area.
Attendees will be guided along a hike by an interpretive ranger while learning about medicinal plants in Central Virginia.
Visitors will learn how to identify a few common medicinal plants found in the region and discuss uses of native plants within the park throughout history.
