Lewis Ginter’s GardenFest of Lights: Botanical decorations, model trains and more

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Thursday to talk about the GardenFest of Lights people can visit throughout the next couple of months at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by Michelle Israel, the director of exhibitions for Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, to discuss this year's theme and what people can expect.

"This year's theme is The Elements, so we have the four elements but we included the element of love," Israel said. She went on to say, "We have different displays and new forms this year, we also have indoor decorations."

In addition to the millions of lights hung around the grounds, there is also a model train display and a fairy village within the Lora M. Robins Library.

The event runs from now until Jan. 4 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, located at 1800 Lakeside Ave. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
