LIST: Central Virginia school districts closed for Presidents’ Day, others in-person
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Some Central Virginia school districts will be closed or in-person on Presidents' Day to make up for lost school days due to snow days.
School districts across Virginia will either be closed or in-person tomorrow for Presidents' Day. Some schools have switched to in-person learning to make up for lost school days from the snow days.
During the weekend of Jan. 24, a winter storm swept across Virginia, leaving snow and ice. The winter weather created dangerous road conditions, causing some school districts to be closed for over a week.
The following districts will be in-person on Monday, Feb. 16:
- Caroline County Public Schools
- Charles City County Public Schools
- Chesterfield County Public Schools
- Cumberland County Public Schools
- Dinwiddie County Public Schools
- Essex County Public Schools
- Goochland County Public Schools
- Hanover County Public Schools
- Louisa County Public Schools
- Mecklenburg County Public Schools
- Orange County Public Schools
- Powhatan County Public Schools
- Prince Edward County Public Schools
- Prince George County Public Schools
- Sussex County Public Schools
The following districts will be closed on Monday:

- Colonial Heights Public Schools
- Fluvanna County Public Schools
