LIST: Central Virginia schools closed, delayed Wednesday due to wintry weather

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Due to wintry weather, many Central Virginia schools will close or have a two-hour delay on Wednesday. Here's a list compiled by 8News. The following schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22 due to weather: Richmond Public Schools All schools and offices are closed, according to the school division. Chesterfield County Public Schools Though schools will be closed, 12-month staff should report at 10 a.m., according to the school system. Hopewell City Public Schools The school system will be closed for all students and staff, and essential employees should stay home as well. Prince George County Public Schools School is closed for both students and staff, and employees should use code 4. Greensville County Public Schools Though schools will be closed, 12-month employees will work remotely, according to the school division. The following schools will have a two hour delayed opening on Wednesday: Henrico County Public Schools All schools and offices will open two hours late, and half-day preschool classes are canceled. Hanover County Public Schools Twelve-month employees should report on time.
