LIST: Central Virginia schools closed, delayed Wednesday due to wintry weather

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Due to wintry weather, many Central Virginia schools will close or have a two-hour delay on Wednesday. Here's a list compiled by 8News.

The following schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22 due to weather:

• Richmond Public Schools
  • All schools and offices are closed, according to the school division.
• Chesterfield County Public Schools
  • Though schools will be closed, 12-month staff should report at 10 a.m., according to the school system.
• Hopewell City Public Schools
  • The school system will be closed for all students and staff, and essential employees should stay home as well.
• Prince George County Public Schools
  • School is closed for both students and staff, and employees should use code 4.
• Greensville County Public Schools
  • Though schools will be closed, 12-month employees will work remotely, according to the school division.

The following schools will have a two hour delayed opening on Wednesday:

• Henrico County Public Schools
  • All schools and offices will open two hours late, and half-day preschool classes are canceled.
• Hanover County Public Schools
  • Twelve-month employees should report on time.
