Louisa woman accused of shooting her landlord in the neck

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Louisa County woman is accused of shooting her landlord in the neck early Friday morning. At about 4:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, deputies with the Louisa County Sheriff's Office were called to a home in the 100 block of West Chapel Drive after receiving multiple reports of a shooting. When they arrived, deputies found a male victim with a gunshot wound on his neck. He was taken to a local hospital and, as of the time of reporting, is in stable condition. A resident of the home, 34-year-old Stephanie Wharam, was arrested in connection to the shooting. According to the sheriff's office, the victim is her landlord. Police seek two suspects after armed robbery at Latin market in Chesterfield Wharam was charged with felony malicious wounding, shooting inside an occupied dwelling and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She is currently being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail without bond. The investigation into this shooting continues.
