Man arrested for allegedly firing, concealing firearm in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was arrested and later released from custody on Wednesday night after he allegedly fired a gun within Petersburg city limits.

At 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were called to the 1100 block of Farmer Street for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found a man who police said possessed a concealed weapon.

He was reportedly charged with firing a firearm within city limits and possession of a concealed weapon before being released on an unsecured bond.
