Man arrested for allegedly stealing multiple iPads from Mecklenburg elementary school

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was arrested and charged earlier this week after allegedly stealing multiple iPads from a Mecklenburg elementary school in early September.
On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a breaking and entering at LaCrosse Elementary School in Mecklenburg. According to authorities, the suspect stole several school-issued iPads.
Earlier this week, the Mecklenburg Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Canaan Church Road in the LaCrosse area as part of the investigation into the school theft. During the operation, the suspect was arrested by deputies.
He was charged with two felonies: breaking and entering and grand larceny. He was taken to the Meherrin River Regional Jail, where he is being held without bond.
Police said indictments will also obtained.
According to police, they are yet to recover the stolen iPads and urge anyone with information to contact the Mecklenburg Sheriff's Office at 434-738-6171.
