Man charged in connection to Chesterfield home invasion, robbery on Christmas Eve

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a home invasion and robbery that occurred in Chesterfield County on Christmas Eve. Following an investigation by police, 47-year-old Barry Rush was apprehended on Dec. 27 and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, abduction, robbery causing serious bodily injury, burglary, aggravated malicious wounding and conspiracy. According to the Chesterfield Police Department, this comes after the home invasion and robbery that occurred in the evening on Tuesday, Dec. 24, when two male suspects broke into a home in the 7600 block of Ratling Drive while armed and demanded money. Officials said victims were injured, and one victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
