Man charged in love triangle involving bestiality indicted by grand jury on amended charge
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The man involved in a love triangle tangled with bestiality was indicted by a grand jury on Monday for an amended charge in the case.
On Monday, Jan. 12, Kent Matthew Montgomery was indicted by a grand jury in Henrico County Circuit Court for the felony charge of sexually abusing an animal, according to court records.
This is an amended charge from the one he originally faced, which was being an accessory in the commission of bestiality.
Montgomery is slated to appear next in court on Jan. 27 for a plea hearing.
The indictment comes roughly a month after former Henrico County Public Schools teacher Chanelle Lincoln pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty after a video of her allegedly sexually abusing her dog was sent to her principal at Pocahontas Middle School.
Lincoln was sentenced to six months in jail, but all six months were suspended, meaning she will not serve any jail time.
Erica Corpening, the person who allegedly sent that video to the principal, was charged with three counts of sexually abusing an animal in the case.
Court documents show that Lincoln and Corpening were both in a romantic relationship with Montgomery.
Montgomery allegedly recorded Lincoln sexually abusing her dog over FaceTime in 2021. The two broke up in 2022 and he and Corpening began a relationship.
Corpening later found the video and held onto it for a year and a half before sending it to the principal, according to court documents.
Corpening allegedly found the video in June 2023 while going through Montgomery’s phone when she believed he was cheating on her. She allegedly blackmailed Lincoln with it, and sent it out on Oct. 2, 2024.
Court documents state that all three are not allowed to talk to each other and remain under a gag order.
