Man dead in tractor-trailer crash, shuts down intersection in Henrico
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after a tractor-trailer crash shut down an intersection on Williamsburg Road in Henrico Thursday afternoon.
According to Henrico County Police, officers are currently on the scene of a deadly crash involving two tractor-trailers and a pedestrian, who police identified as a man, at the intersection of Williamsburg Road and S. Laburnum Avenue.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
A driver was also taken to the hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), as of 12:38 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, all eastbound and westbound travel lanes are closed on Williamsburg Road near S. Laburnum Avenue due to the crash.
Police said the following detours are in place:
- Williamsburg Road (west) at Oakley's Lane & Eubank Road
- S. Laburnum Ave at Finley Street & Eubank Road
