Man found shot dead in Richmond home

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was found shot dead in a home in Richmond's Southside late Thursday night.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to a home in the 3300 block of Decatur Street for the report of a person shot.

When they arrived, officers went inside the home and found a man with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

No further details are available as of the time of reporting. Police continue to investigate this incident.
