Man wanted for Petersburg murder arrested in Georgia
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) -- A man wanted in connection with a late September murder near a Petersburg gas station was arrested in Georgia on Friday. Authorities say he tried to flee police by jumping out a window.
On Monday, Oct. 6, the Petersburg Bureau of Police announced that it was searching for 41-year-old Prince Moore, who is accused of shooting and killing Tyron R. Clanton near a BP gas station on Monday, Sept. 29.
Over a month later, on Friday, Nov. 7, Moore was located at the Travelodge Hotel on Washington Road in Augusta, Georgia.
Investigators say Moore attempted to flee apprehension by jumping from a second-floor window. He was taken into custody shortly after.

Moore was taken into custody through a joint operation by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service.
