Man with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Chesterfield on Sunday night.

On Sunday, Feb. 8, just before 7 p.m., Chesterfield Police and Fire and EMS crews responded to the 15200 block of Woods Edge Road for a report of a man being hit by a vehicle.

The man was taken to a local hospital with life threatning injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

Woods Edge Road's northbound lanes are currently closed from Ruffman Mill Road to where the crash occurred. Lieutenant Harper from Chesterfield Police said that the road may be closed for two to three hours as crews work.
