Many Richmond streets to see closures for Dominion Energy Christmas Parade

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- There will be many road closures and no-parking zones throughout Richmond on Saturday due to the Dominion Energy Christmas Parade.

The 42nd-annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade will kick off at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, filling the River City with holiday cheer.

To ensure that the parade goes smoothly and safely, a variety of Richmond streets will be closed and many no-parking zones will be in place, per the city.

Here's a breakdown of what to expect when driving around Richmond on Saturday.

Road closures for Saturday, active from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • N. 10th Street between E. Broad and Leigh streets
  • E. Clay Street between N. 10th and 11th streets
  • N. Harrison Street between W. Broad and Marshall streets
  • N. Allison Street between W. Broad and Marshall streets
  • Lodge Street between N. 9th and 11th streets
  • Westbound side of W. Broad Street between N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard and N. 11th Street
  • Eastbound side of W. Broad Street between N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard and N. Allen Avenue
  • 900 block of Terminal Place
  • DMV Drive between W. Broad and Leigh streets
  • W. Leigh Street between Hermitage Road and N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard

No-parking zones for Saturday, active from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • N. 10th Street between E. Broad and Leigh streets

  • Eastbound side of E. Leigh Street between N. 8th and 9th streets
