Musical romantic comedy ‘& Juliet’ coming to Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A musical romantic comedy inspired by Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" will take over Richmond in spring 2026.
"& Juliet" will have an eight-show run at the Altria Theater between May 12 and May 17, 2026.
From the Emmy award-winning "Schitt's Creek" writer David West Read, "& Juliet" explores what life may be like for Juliet if she did not take her own life after losing her star-crossed lover, Romeo.
"Break free of the balcony scene and get into this romantic comedy that proves there’s life after Romeo," organizers said. "The only thing tragic would be missing it."
