New Kent residents asked to weigh in on streetscape improvements
NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- New Kent County residents are being asked to weigh in on proposed improvements to two local roadways.
County officials are looking to make streetscape improvements in both Eltham and Providence Forge. These improvements aim to "enhance the visual and functional aspects" of the designated streets, making them safer, more accessible and more attractive.
Possible amenities that could be added include sidewalks, shared-use paths, lighting, crosswalks, ramps and tactile paving, among others.

Two public meetings about these proposals were held in mid-December -- but, if you missed those meetings, you still have time to make yourself heard.
