New Kent Sheriff’s Office to host rabies clinic

NEW KENT, Va. (WRIC) -- The New Kent Sheriff's Office will be hosting a rabies clinic next weekend for local and out-of-town residents alike.

The rabies clinic will take place at the New Kent County Courthouse at 12001 Courthouse Circle from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. In addition to vaccinations, people will also have the option to get their pets microchipped.

Each vaccination costs $10 and the microchips are $15 each -- the sheriff's office also clarified that they will only be accepting cash and checks in person. Additionally, the event is open to everyone, not just New Kent residents.

People must pre-register to receive a microchip and there is a limit of 3 per person. Click here to pre-register and pay for the microchip online.
