New safety upgrades implemented at Virginia Capital Trail in Henrico
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- New safety upgrades have been implemented just steps away from the Capital Trail in Henrico County on Thursday.
According to a social post from the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, the Henrico County Public Works & Public Utilities completed a new safety upgrade at Doran Road & Four Mile Run Parkway on Thursday, July 3.

- A new roundabout to calm traffic
- Freshly painted crosswalks
- New sidewalk connections
- Truncated domes for better accessibility
- Dedicated bike/pedestrian lanes that connect to the Trail
- Improved signage to keep everyone moving safely
These safety improvements help those who walk, roll and ride the Trail each week, per the county.
