One detained after ‘suspicious fire’ in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — One person was detained after police said a "suspicious fire" broke out at a Chesterfield County home Wednesday night.
At around 11:33 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, crews with the Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to the 8000 block of Valencia Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters found an upstairs bedroom on fire at the home.

Officials said crews put the fire out within 10 minutes, and no injuries were reported.
One person was detained at the scene following the fire.
Officials continue to investigate. No additional information is available as of reporting.
