One displaced after house fire in Prince George County

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — One person was displaced after heavy smoke and fire took over a home in Prince George County early Sunday morning.

At around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, crews with Prince George Fire and EMS responded to a report of a house fire in the 6000 block of Thweatt Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire coming from the left side of the home.

Crews were able to control the fire after an "aggressive interior attack." Firefighters implemented rural water supply operations using tankers due to limited hydrant access, authorities said.

All residents were safely evacuated from the home. One resident was displaced following the fire.
