One person seriously injured after falling into creek in Chesterfield County
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is seriously injured after falling down an embankment and into a creek in Chesterfield County Sunday afternoon.
According to Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, on Sunday, Oct. 26, crews responded to a rescue call in the 17400 block of Route 1.
When the first firefighter arrived on scene, they found a person who had fallen between 12 and 15 feet down an embankment into a creek below, according to Chesterfield County Fire and EMS.
"Firefighters used a ladder truck and stokes basket to perform an aerial rescue," stated Chesterfield County Fire and EMS.

After the victim was taken out of the creek to safety, the individual was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
