Orange County man sentenced for enticing minors to create child sex abuse material
ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- An Orange County man will serve a decade in prison for several child sex crimes, including multiple counts of enticing juveniles to participate in the creation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, 21-year-old Ricardo Ramos-Espinoza of Orange pleaded guilty to five charges relating to the creation and possession of CSAM.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office first received a tip about Ramos-Espinoza potentially possessing CSAM in January. An investigation was launched, which eventually led to his arrest.
Though Ramos-Espinoza initially faced 20 total charges, on Tuesday, the majority of them were marked as "nolle prosequi," per online court records -- meaning they were dismissed, as the state declined to prosecute.

He pleaded guilty to the remaining five charges, including:
- Three counts of causing someone under 15 years old to participate in the production of CSAM, or "enticement of a minor"
- One count of possession of CSAM
- One count of possession of CSAM, second offense
Ramos-Espinoza will serve 10 years in prison. Upon his release, he will be placed on probation and will have to register as a sex offender.
