Over $1.2 million in illegal narcotics seized across Virginia in just one week: VSP
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police seized more than $1.2 million in illegal narcotics in just one week as part of its ongoing crime suppression operations.
In partnership with federal and local agencies, between Nov. 11 and Nov. 18, state troopers seized just over 51 pounds of illegal narcotics across the Commonwealth.
This included 23.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 19.6 pounds of marijuana, 4.2 pounds of ketamine, 2.2 pounds of cocaine, 1.3 pounds of psilocybin and 8.6 ounces of fentanyl, as well as 12,000 fentanyl pills and 6,350 THC vapes.
Per state police, these illegal narcotics would have generated $1,219,842 in revenue if sold. State troopers also recovered $186,433 in U.S. currency.

Additionally, six firearms were recovered, with their value said to be $3,500.
"The Virginia State Police remain steadfast in their mission to enhance public safety and uphold the laws throughout the Commonwealth while supporting the Governor’s initiatives on violent crime," state police said in a Nov. 21 press release. "By working in close collaboration with local, state and federal agencies, law enforcement continues to disrupt criminal enterprises and safeguard communities. "
