Part of Garnett Lane in Chesterfield to close for paving

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Garnett Lane -- Route 8569 -- in Chesterfield County will be closed for paving operations on Aug. 4, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Weather permitting, crews will close the stretch of road between LeGordon Drive, or Route 701, and Charter Colony Parkway, Route 950, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4.
Homeowners in the area will still be able to access their properties throughout the work.
VDOT is urging drivers to follow posted detour signs:
- Eastbound Traffic: From Route 8569 (Garnett Lane), right on Route 707 (LeGordon Drive), right on Route 7855 (Martinet Crossing) right on Route 950 (Charter Colony Parkway).
- Westbound Traffic: From Route 8569 (Garnett Lane), left on Route 950 (Charter Colony Parkway), left on Route 7855 (Martinet Crossing), left on Route 707 (LeGordon Drive).
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and expect minor delays.
