Person flown to hospital after 3-vehicle crash in Amelia
AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person was flown to the hospital via helicopter after a 3-vehicle crash in Amelia County on Monday.
At about 2:10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, state troopers with Virginia State Police were called to the area of Genito and Howard roads for report of a multi-vehicle crash.
Details on this incident are limited at this time. However, state police confirmed that the crash, which involved three vehicles, sent one person to the hospital via MedFlight helicopter.
The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.
As of 3:06 p.m., all lanes -- both northbound and southbound -- in the area of the crash were closed, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
