Person hospitalized after stabbing, hit-and-run in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A person is in the hospital after a stabbing and hit-and-run in Petersburg.

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were at the scene of a stabbing and hit-and-run in the 1200 block of Melville Street, according to a Facebook post from the agency.

The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

No further details were shared by police.
