Person shot at Barboursville roving party with over 100 attendees
GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person was shot at a roving party in Barboursville early Thursday morning after multiple rounds were fired and deputies arrived to find over 100 attendees fleeing the scene.
According to the Greene County Sheriff's Office, a report was received in the early morning hours on Thursday, Nov. 27 of a large party on Toms Road in Barboursville with shots being fired.
When deputies arrived, they found over 100 people fleeing the scene and multiple spent shell casings from different caliber guns. Officials said "it was obvious that a fight had occurred."
One individual was hit by the rounds being fired, and as of the time of reporting they are at a local hospital in stable condition.
Authorities learned later that the party is a roving party and it pops up at different locations across multiple counties.
