Person trapped after car flips during crash in Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Firefighters rescued a person trapped in their car after it flipped during a Thursday afternoon crash in Buckingham County.

Just before 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, crews with the Toga Volunteer Fire Department -- as well as multiple other agencies -- were called to the area of Mt. Rush Highway and Bridge Road for report of a two-vehicle crash involving a person trapped.

Officials shared photos from the scene, which show what appears to be a car flipped onto its roof.

When they arrived, firefighters quickly moved to rescue the person from their vehicle.

This person was then taken in for treatment by the Buckingham County Department of Emergency Services.

Officials did not specify how severely they were hurt.
