RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A community baby shower was held in Richmond this weekend, offering local residents the opportunity to support soon-to-be moms. People came out to 7206 Hull Street Road on Sunday, Dec. 15 to participate in a community baby shower hosted by Another Breakthrough Ahead. The event provided moms with clothes, toys, games and more. 8News spoke with Catherine Gumbs -- a single mom that is 32 weeks pregnant -- about what an event like this means to her. "It's nice to meet other moms, and it's nice to also participate in games and activities and talk to new moms and, you know, win fun prizes and stuff, which helps out with being a single mom," Gumbs said.
