RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Fans of arts and crafts had a chance to immerse themselves in an exhibition showcasing some of Richmond's finest works this weekend.
The 42nd Craftsmen's Spring Classic Art & Craft Festival returned to the Richmond Raceway Complex on Friday, March 13, through Sunday, March 15, with pottery, fine art, photography, jewelry and more. The three-day festival featured hundreds of artists and craftsmen, showcasing authentic and custom-made work that participants won't find at big retailers, organizers said.
Organizers said this year's festival was the largest in seven years since the pandemic.
"We have a lot of local exhibitors and we have people traveling from more than 15 states," said marketing director Cary Gilmore. "There's something for everyone here."

Gilmore said the show had fun, interactive booths with handmade items, making it a "unique shopping experience" for attendees.
The festival is expected to welcome a few thousand on its last day. Gilmore said the team brings the show to Richmond twice a year, in spring and fall.
"We love coming back. These exhibitors really love traveling to be here, to spend time in the community and to see their favorite customers of this area," she said.
