Police search for suspect involved in road rage shooting

CHESTERFIELD CUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One man was shot following a road rage incident on Saturday Sept. 13 on Midlothian Turnpike.

At around 5:15 p.m., Chesterfield Police responded to a reported shooting in the 12200 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County.

When police arrived, they found a man with what police describe as "a non-life threatening gunshot wound."

Officials stated that the preliminary investigation into this incident shows that the victim and the suspect were, "involved in some kind of road rage interaction as they traveled west on Midlothian Turnpike toward its intersection with Walmart Way."

According to the investigation, in the 12200 block the suspects vehicle pulled up to the right side of the victims vehicle when the suspect then fired a gun at the victims vehicle.

The suspects vehicle has been described as a "white Nissan Altima" and fled Midwest onto Midlothian Turnpike.
