Prince George launches new website for would-be visitors

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- In an effort to support growing tourism plans, Prince George County has created a new website with everything visitors need to know about lodging, local businesses and more.

The website, which can be viewed by clicking here, was created through a partnership between the county and Richmond-based graphic design company 903Creative, according to a release.

This virtual update comes after the county received $90,000 back in 2022 from Virginia Tourism Corporation American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to use towards promoting tourism and helping local businesses.

According to the county, people that visited the county in 2023 spent $105.2M on food and beverages, retail, lodging and transportation, contributing heavily to the support of small businesses in the community.

Additionally, the county cited Trip Advisor data indicating that a large amount of travelers do online research when planning trips.

The county is encouraging would-be visitors and long-time residents alike to visit the new website and see all that Prince George has to offer.
