‘Quite chaotic’: Man arrested after Henrico government employees locked in room

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is in custody after police say he locked multiple Henrico County government employees in a room on Thursday.
At 12:47 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the Henrico County Western Government Center for a report of a disorderly man.
When they arrived, officers learned that a man had entered a restricted area within the complex and locked multiple employees in a room. Police told 8News that the employees were able to exit the room through an "alternative exit." No employees were harmed.
Police could not confirm the number of employees involved in this incident at this time and said the scene was "quite chaotic."

Officers cleared the complex and discovered the suspect had fled the scene. That suspect, identified as 28-year-old Erik Moralles Garcia of Henrico County, was later arrested at a residence.
Garcia's charges are pending as of the time of reporting, with investigators still working to learn more about this incident.
