Rabies clinic to be held in Henrico County later this month
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County will hold a rabies clinic for cats and dogs on the morning of Aug. 16.
According to the Henrico County Police Division, the event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Henrico County Western Government Complex, located at 4301 E. Parham Road.
Per officials, each vaccination costs $20, and the county will only accept cash. Guests can pay at the cashier’s office in the Administration Building before they see a veterinarian on the first floor of the parking deck.

Police also said that cats must be in carriers, and that under Virginia law, dogs and cats aged four months and older must be vaccinated for rabies.
A rabies tag and certificate of the vaccination are included with each shot, according to police. Henrico dog licenses will also be available for a one-time fee of $10.
