Richmond Fire crews battle smokey structure fire on Richmond Highway
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Crews with the Richmond Fire Department battled a smokey structure fire on Richmond Highway Saturday morning. At around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, crews with the Richmond Fire Department were dispatched to a structure fire in the 200 block of Richmond Highway. According to officials, the fire was marked under control at 7:18 a.m. and a firefighter was transported to the hospital for a minor injury. Officials said there were no other reported injuries as the house was under construction and the owners did not live there. The owners of the house have been reportedly notified of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
