Richmond restores in-person tax payments following technical issue
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond is officially welcoming residents to make in-person tax payments -- two weeks before Tax Day on Tuesday, April 15 -- following a technical issue with the processing system.
According to officials, on Monday, March 31, MUNIS, one of the city's financial processing systems, experienced a technical malfunction, and now the system is back online.
The city says that, following disruption, Richmond has extended the penalty and interest waiver for business licenses until Tuesday, April 1.
