Richmond Symphony to perform ‘A Night in Vienna’ in October

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Symphony will perform "A Night in Vienna" on a Saturday in October at the Dominion Energy Center's Carpenter Theatre in celebration of Johann Strauss II, the "King of Waltzes," on his 200th anniversary.
Doors for the event will open at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, with the performance beginning at 5 p.m. at the Dominion Energy Center's Carpenter Theatre, located at 600 E. Grace St., Suite 400, in Richmond.
The event will celebrate the 200th birthday of the "Waltz King," Johann Strauss II.
According to organizers, attendees will be able to enjoy iconic waltzes, marches and classics like "The Blue Danube," Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No. 5," and Mozart's "Magic Flute Overture."
