Richmond wellness leaders unite for PLUS Talk 2025 gala

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests on Tuesday to talk about wellness and leadership throughout the Richmond region.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by the founder of PLUS Holistic, Brandon Holloman-Lovee, and the founder of The Well Collective, Ashley Williams, as they discussed their goals of urging self-care among local leaders.

"The whole goal is to make leadership and wellness go hand in hand," Holloman-Lovee said. "So we see a lot of times in our city and leadership, a contrast between showing up for your business and showing up for yourself."

PLUS Holistic has a fundraiser and gala event -- PLUS Talk -- coming up at the Altria Theater on June 28. The event will include nine speakers talking for nine minutes each, while also honoring Williams as the PLUS leader of the year.

"I've been doing community well-being work in the city for about 10 years in various capacities, and so it's really been about creating spaces where we take first and foremost care of ourselves holistically -- physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, socially and then invite that into how do we take care of others in varying capacities," Williams said.
