Rotary Club introduces Early Learning Trail to promote interactive outdoor education
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Last week, the Rotary Club opened an Early Learning Trail to promote interactive outdoor learning for the early childhood age group.
On Thursday, March 27 at 8:15 a.m., the Rotary Clubs of Innsbrook and Western Henrico celebrated the opening of the Early Learning Trail. The new trail is located near Short Pump Elementary School.
According to the Rotary Club, The Early Learning Trail started off as a vision to assist early childhood development in outdoor learning. This is done through interactive stations that are centered on literacy, numbers and movement.
“This trail is a gift to our youngest learners,” said one Rotary volunteer. “We’re not just promoting education—we’re building joy into learning and showing kids that their community cares.”
