Second Annual Celebrating Recovery and Saving Lives event returns to Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Second Annual Celebrating Recovery & Saving Lives event will return to Petersburg on Wednesday.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, Petersburg Community Corrections will host the Second Annual Celebrating Recovery & Saving Lives event at the Petersburg Public Library, located at 201 W. Washington St.

The free event celebrates and supports those on their recovery journey as well as loved ones looking for resources to help someone struggling with a substance use disorder.

Attendees can connect with recovery resources at over 30 vendors, hear recovery testimonials, participate in healing art activities, receive Narcan, get a free HIV test and more.
