Section of Spring Run Road to close in Chesterfield for bridge repairs

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of Spring Run Road is set to close in Chesterfield County in September for bridge repairs.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), a section of Spring Run Road, between Qualla Road and Beach Road, is scheduled to be closed for repairs to the bridge over Third Branch Creek.

The continuous closure will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 and will last through 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.

According to VDOT, people will still have access to their property on either side of the bridge throughout the repairs.

Drivers are asked to use the following detours:

  • Northbound Traffic -- travel west on Beach Road, north on Qualla Road and back to Spring Run Road.
  • Southbound Traffic -- travel south on Qualla Road, east on Beach Road, and back to Spring Run Road.
