Section of West Creek Road in Amelia to close for pipe replacement
AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A section of West Creek Road in Amelia County will be closed in July due to a pipe replacement project.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that West Creek Road (Route 607) will close between Namozine Road (Route 615) and Dennisville Road (Route 614) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.
According to the department, homeowners will have access to their property throughout the pipe replacement project. Motorists have been advised to use the following detours:
- Northbound traffic: Travel south on West Creek Road (Route 607), east on Namozine Road (Route 615), north on Dennisville Road (Route 614), south on West Creek Road (Route 607).
- Southbound traffic: Travel north on West Creek Road (Route 607), south on Dennisville Road (Route 614), west on Namozine Road (Route 615), north on West Creek Road (Route 607).
